Leadership
values
Empowerment over power and enablement over force. Teams that I lead must be positioned to tell me what is best for our customer experience. I can't lead effective teams with out autonomy and accountability as it is key that I am directing strategy as they invest into it.

01
How?
Vision casting
Establishing core business units and defining impact metrics against key performance indicators (KPIs) is crucial for the establishment of team objectives and key results (OKRs). Defining a comprehensive vision serves as a foundation, enabling individual contributors to comprehend the company’s goals and strategies more effectively. This understanding empowers them to influence their work in the most impactful manner. Collaborating with senior leadership to create and maintain this vision is a pivotal factor in fostering strong partnerships and establishing an effective user experience (UX) organization.
What?
Goal setting
User experience (UX) should be the voice of the customer, associate, or end user. The human sentiment is best served when it is encountered at the entry point of contact. Metrics should be established behind the vision, and goal planning sessions should be conducted that focus on closing gaps to success.

03
Who?
One on ones
In both direct and indirect reporting, I consistently prioritize fostering a collaborative environment to comprehend my team’s challenges and accomplishments. I am committed to providing the necessary support and flexibility to enable my team to achieve their full potential.
Why?
Celebration
Let us rejoice in the triumphs of the past! The small victories are never insignificant, and the grand accomplishments are never solely about me. Upholding and nurturing future leaders will always be guided by the principle that recognizing and celebrating their achievements in the present moment is of utmost importance, as it fosters both success and resilience.
04
PEOPLE FIRST
Environments are always made up of people first so that is the way I lead. Understanding where people have needs and meeting them there is essential. I drive a heavy culture promoting self awareness opening engagement towards goals and career growth within the individual contributor. I meet weekly with 1:1 conversations, supporting read outs and facilitating as needed.
TRUST
In connection to the people I manage, I also focus on strategy and relationships being built. I look at trust as a key ingredient to success and allowing professionals to be professional. I look to gain insight and understanding behind business decisions, company strategy and direction. I will always seek direct feedback on the job that I am doing while balancing between vision setting and business acumen.
RADICAL CANDOR
Part of leading is having the honest and candid conversation. Whether with a business partner or with my direct or indirect reports I practice what I know as fair feedback of constructive growth. Radical candor is a great read and a great direction to head into especially while leading larger teams into the future. It is imperative as a leader that I am held accountable and that I respect my team to do the same for them.
